Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
The basic Swedish massage with the use of pressure points and cross-fiber friction for the "hot spots" in the back, neck, and shoulders area where most people experience extra tension and tightness
A basic Swedish massage with the addition of essential oils added to the room environment and the oil or lotion used during the session. Custom blends may be requested by returning clients.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue (DT) Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of deep tissue work which releases restrictions in the fascia and muscle tissue, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure client remains comfortable. Keep in mind that some muscle soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that staying hydrated after a session improves the ability of muscles to reset themselves after being manually manipulated by the therapist.
Massage4U prefers to perform deep tissue (DT) bodywork after a complete Postural Analysis (PA) has been performed on a potential client. Cost for that service is $25 and is added to the first DT session. It is a one time fee only for new clients receiving DT on the first visit.
Hot Stone Therapy
Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.
The ultimate in bodywork. Therapist uses thermatherapy (hot towels, warm stones and bamboo sticks) to work out all the kinks. An essential oil blend is used to penetrate deep into the fascia and muscles to relieve stress and tension. Long, slow strokes and deep compression are applied to loosen tight areas and rejuvenate the senses.
Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant and postpartum women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy when received on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. The benefits are profound: including emotional release, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalances, and improved breathing and muscle tone.

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension quickly and while clothed. Clients receive massage in an ergonomically designed chair to reduce hypertonicity in the back and shoulders. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage with seated massage, clients can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that may be felt in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into a busy schedule.
Onsite chair massage can be booked with Massage4U in group settings (Two hour minimum). Please call 318-780-6060 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to book an event. All bodywork performed by licensed massage therapists only.
Some times clients just need or want a little something extra. These services can be added to any massage if not already included.
